Triumph Factory Racing’s Austin Forkner has battled through to 15th place at round 15 of the 2025 AMA Supercross Championship in Pittsburgh. After a strong performance in qualifying, the TF 250-X rider overcame two crashes in the 250SX East Main Event to salvage a solid result and valuable championship points.

Showing strong pace on the demanding Pittsburgh track, Forkner qualified inside the top five for the second week running and secured a third-place finish in his heat race, just six seconds from the win. Feeling confident heading into the 250SX East Main Event, he launched out of the gate and settled just outside the top 10.

Unfortunately, while making good progress and dicing with a championship contender, he crashed at the end of the whoops and rejoined in dead last. Undeterred and keen to gain valuable points, he pushed forward to claim 15th at the chequered flag, despite a second incident. It was a valiant effort but one that did not fully reflect his true speed. The seven points that he acquired helped him maintain 11th in the championship standings.

A return to the United States' west coast beckons now; 250SX West will host its penultimate round inside Denver's Empower Field at Mile High on May 3. Jordon Smith will star aboard his TF 250-X.

"I had a good heat race. My starts were great last night, but not ideal tonight and that held me back. I started back in the pack in the Main Event. Another rider checked up in front of me in the whoops – I jumped right to avoid them but landed on a tuff block. I rode well after I got back up. I mean, my pace was good all day! I was taken out by someone else later in the race too, but it is what it is. I could have just phoned it in, but I actually rode well. The results just do not show that!"
